A solid example all around! The blade on this one looks great. The crisp acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and "C. Linder Solingen Merscheid" maker mark are both beautifully executed! The crossgrain is real nice! It has a perfect fit and perfect tip! The blade rates in at an Exc+/Exc++. There is a bit of age and scuffs and runner markings. The scuffs can be fund but turning the blade jsut so in the light.The undented steel based, brown anodized scabbard is in excellent condition! It has some oxidation and traces of lacquer around the fittings. The solid nickel scabbard fittings have minor bruises and look good! The lower obverse has some verdigris and the ball is slightly bent. All four scabbard screws remain intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is nice and it closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is Gau stamped "Wm". The grip / crossguard fits are perfect! The redish hardwood grip looks excellent being chip and crack-free. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed and has a perfect fit! The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel. A nice piece all around!
