Here's an example of the latest SA dagger you will find. The final few months of production in 1942 before dress daggers stopped production manufacturers struggled to get product out the doors! The blade has decent crossgrain and a nice dark motto. The fit and tip are all good! The brown painted scabbard has minor age and wear but 99% of the paint is intact. The steel nickel plated fittings retain a nice bright finish. They show minor wear. All four screws remain intact and the ball retains its basic original round shape with a wee kiss to the very bottom you will have to go looking for. The scabbard/crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The zinc nickel plated crossguards retain 97% of their plating. The chip and crack-free grip has a zinc eagle. The SA roundel retains 100% of its enamel. Shoot guys I see people parting these things out for more on EBay! By no means is it perfect, but find one that's at a better price!
