Rare Rare! Here we have a 2nd pattern NSDAP Gau Coburg Honor Badge 1932! The Coburger Abzeichen was the first badge recognized as a national award of the NSDAP. It is constructed out of a die struck bronze base that has been black burnished. The oval shaped obverse features a downward pointing broad sword above a centrally placed mobile swastika that is underneath the Coburg castle and village and is surrounded by "Mit Hitler in Coburg 1922 1932" and a laurel leaf and berry wreath. The full back reverse is maker marked: "RZM 189". It also features a soldered on round wire catch, soldered on block hinge and flatwire pin. All remain in well working condition. It measures approximately 2 3/16 inches tall by 1 9/16 inches wide. This second pattern variant is rarer than the RZM only maker marked pieces.
