United Kingdom Metropolitan Police Coronation Medal 1911
This was awarded to police officers on duty in London during King George V Coronation’s. It is constructed out of a silver base that has been silver washed. The round shaped obverse features King George V effigy surrounded by “Georgivs V Rex Et Ind Imp”. The reverse side has a crown surrounded by a bordered wreath and bordered “Metropolitan Police Coronation 1911”. To the top is a swivel ring and loop which holds 4 inches of red and blue ribbon. The edge is named: “PC A Hazell”. Nice wash and detail remains. It measures approximately 1 7/16 inches in diameter. Good condition!
