A rare maker mark on this one! This one rates 9 out of 10 for rarity on McSaar's SA rarity ratting! The blade on this one looks good. The acid etched "Alles für Deutschland" motto and "C. Gustav Neeff Solingen" maker mark are both beautifully executed! The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! This blade rates Exc+/Exc++. It shows age grey throughout along with the common surface scratches throughout. The steel based, black painted scabbard looks excellent as well! It only shows minor scratches throughout. It continues to remain completely dent free! It may have been post-war-re-painted. The solid nickel scabbard fittings remain nice and bright. The ball has two hits to the bottom. All four scabbard screws remain tightly intact. The crossguards look good. The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked "P" (Pommern). The brown hardwood grip looks great. It shows the common pressure marks throughout along with two hairline cracks and a 1 mm flake chip to the top right. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel retains 99%+ of its enamel and also has a perfect fit. A quality rarer example!
