A good piece a good price! The blade on this one looks fine. The acid etched "Alles für Deutschland" motto and "Asso Solingen" maker mark are both nicely executed! Some crossgrain remains visible. The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a sharp point. This blade rates Exc/Exc+. It has been cleaned and shows surface scratches and age spotting throughout. The steel based, brown anodized scabbard looks good. It shows minor oxidization throughout and has two wee pressure marks. The solid nickel silver scabbard fittings look excellent matching the crossguards in color and patina. The ball remains perfectly round and all four scabbard screws remain tightly intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked "Wf" (Westfallen). The brown hardwood grip looks fine. It shows several hairline cracks and the common pressure marks throughout. No chips or flakes. The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a near perfect fit. The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 99%+ of its enamel. A fine example!
