This one rates 10 out of 10 for rarity on McSaars rating! Crazy to even find it! The blade on this one looks great! The acid etched "Alles für Deutschland" motto and "Eduard Vitting Solingen" maker mark are both crisp and beautifully executed! The crossgrain is easily visible all the way from the hilt to the tip. The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a sharp point! This blade rates a solid Exc++! It shows the commonly seen age grey/spotting and surface scratches throughout. The steel based, brown anodized scabbard looks excellent! It retains a wonderful brown finish and remains completely dent free! It only shows minor age marks throughout. The solid nickel scabbard fittings look excellent! The ball has a bruise to the very bottom. All four screws remain tightly intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked "Wf" (Westfallen). The brown hardwood grip looks excellent! It continues to retain traces of its original factory lacquer! It shows minor pressure marks throughout along with one wee 1mm chip to the top right hand side. No cracks or flakes! The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 99%+ of its enamel. A rare SA dagger that is in excellent condition!
