Check out that chef! The blade on this one looks great. The acid etched "Alles für Deutschland" motto and "Gebr. Becker Solingen" maker mark are both beautifully executed! The crossgrain is easily visible all the way from the hilt to the tip. The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! This blade rates Exc+. It shows evidence of minor sharpeneing and a touched up tip along with three or four minor areas of mitting and spotting/surface scratched throughout. The steel based, brown anodized scabbard looks excellent! It remains completely dent free, retains a nice brown finish to it and continues to hold 20% of its original factory laquer! The solid nickel scabbard fittings look great. They match the crossguards quite nicely in color and patina! The ball has been hit and shows crack around it. All four scabbard screws remain tightly intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is near perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked "Wf" (Westfallen). The brown hardwood grip looks wonderful! Just the common pressure marks throughout but no cracks, chips or flakes! The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA also has a perfect fit and retains 95%+ of its enamel. A good one!
