Slightly curved Damascus blade with signs of aging, etched, re-gilded, and traces of bluing with "Oberkommando des Heeres Ehrenpreis" (tr. "Army Headquarters Award") on the obverse and "Leutnant Hans Fett ‐Inf. Rgt 62 Ehrenpreisschießen 1938 mit Gewehr" (tr. "Leutnant Hans Fett Inf. Rgt. 62 honor prize shooting 1938 with rifle") on the reverse. Made by Horster. Worn brass dove head style hilt with oak leaf engraving. Obverse languet depicting national eagle with outstretched wings. Black celluloid grip with triple braided brass wire wrap and intact leather finger loop. Black anodized steel scabbard. Length 100 cm.
Significant honour award of the Army High Command to a German Cross in Gold Holder.
