McSarr rates this maker 10 out of 10 for rarity! The blade on this one looks good, It shows some cleaning but retains it's full length. The acid etched "Alles für Deutschland" motto is lightened somewhat more than the maker mark due to someone being a bit too enthusiastic with the semi-chrome! Some crossgrain remains. The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! The steel based, brown anodized scabbard looks good! It only shows light evidence of period wear with 100% odf the anodized finish remaining and likely 80% of the lacquer. There is one pressure marks to the center of the reverse. The solid nickel scabbard fittings are nicely patinaed matching the crossguards in color and wear. The ball has one dent to the very bottom but does retain it's basic shape. All four screws remain tightly intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked "Ns". The brown hardwood grip looks great and with the exception of a flake to the lower reverse right is crack and chip-free, just the common pressure marks throughout. The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel. A great early SA dagger that is rarely encountered.
