This one is about as rare as they come! This one rates 10 out of 10 for rarity on McSaar's SA rarity ratting! The blade on this one looks excellent! The acid etched "Alles für Deutschland" motto and "Carl Kloos Solingen Landwehr" maker mark are both dark, crisp beautifully executed! The crossgrain is easily visible all the way from the hilt to the tip. The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! This blade rates Exc+/Exc++. It shows age grey, spotting and surface scratches throughout. The steel based, brown anodized scabbard looks great! It only shows minor age spotting throughout. It continues to remain completely dent free. The solid nickel scabbard fittings have nicely patinaed with time matching the crossguards in color and patina! The ball continues to remain perfectly round and all four scabbard screws remain tightly intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked "Ns" (Niedersachsen). The brown hardwood grip looks excellent! Just the common pressure marks throughout but no cracks, chips or flakes! The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel has nice patina as well and retains 99%+ of its enamel. A quality rare example!
