A rare maker mark on this one! This one rates 9 out of 10 for rarity on McSaar's SA rarity ratting! The blade on this one looks excellent! The acid etched "Alles für Deutschland" motto and "F. Von Brosy-Steinberg Solingenmaker mark are both dark, crisp and beautifully executed! The crossgrain is easily visible all the way from the hilt to the tip. The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! This blade rates Exc++/NM. It shows the commonly seen age spotting and surface scratches throughout. The steel based, brown anodized scabbard looks excellent as well! It only shows age spotting/spidering throughout along with a wee pressure mark to the obverse. The solid nickel scabbard fittings look great and match the crossguards quite nicely! The ball has a bump to its bottom yet continues to retain a round shape. All four scabbard screws remain tightly intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked "Ho" (Hochland - far right). The brown hardwood grip looks decent. It shows several hits and cracks throughout. The solid nickel eagle nicely matches the rest of the dagger in color and patina. It also retains beautiful detail. The SA roundel retains 99%+ of its enamel. A quality rarer example!
