Early Officers Cap Eagle Wreath & Cockade in Bullion

Gorgeous craftsmanship on display here! The eagle is constructed out of hand embroidered twisted aluminium/silver bullion thread which has been stitched to a black wool base, (Herman Goring Division?) that has a glued on black paper backing. The obverse depicts a Luftwaffe droop tail eagle, clutching a wreathed swastika in its talons. It measures approximately 70mm wide by 30mm tall. Accompanying this piece is the appropriate Wreath and Cockade Insignia. It is a multi-piece construction, which consist of silver/aluminum and black threads all on a black wool and black paper backing. The obverse features a centrally placed cockade surrounded by silver/aluminum thread. The backing shows reminisce of black paper. It measures 140mm wide by 38mm tall. Beautiful detail with minor wear and age.
