We are passing the savings on to you! The blade on this one has been cleaned to help its cause. The "Alles für Deutschland" motto and swimmer "Hammesfahr Cie Solingen" maker mark look good! The fit remains nice and tight. The blade rates VG/Exc. It has been re-tipped, cleaned, has two nicks to the cutting edge and shows heavy age grey throughout. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard is looks great. It retains 85%+ paint coverage and remains completely dent free. The solid nickel scabbard fittings look great as well. The ball retains a nice and round shape. All four screws continue to remain intact. The scabbard to crossguard fit is near perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is stamped with a rarer gau mark "OST" (Ostland). The brown hardwood grip is in good shape. It has two small pressure cracks to the reverse and one to the obverse along with the commonly seen pressure marks throughout. The solid nickel eagle has nice detail and a perfect fit. The SA roundel retains 85%+ of its enamel and also has a perfect fit! A fine piece at a great price!
