A very rare maker mark! This one was previously owned by Johnson Reference Books & Militaria so I will just use his description: "Transitional SA Dagger w/Double Trademark. Jacobs & Co. Solingen-Gr., two line company name and RZM M7/118 double TM. As stated on page 225 of The Sword And Knife Makers of Germany 1850-2000, Volume I by the late Anthony Carter, [this trademark was used] "on later SA and SS examples and HJ knives...". Plated hilt fittings show faint surface wear, with some minor speckling on the upper and lower crossguards adjacent to the grip, but no lifting or peeling to plating. The lower crossguard is unmarked as is correct for transitional and RZM SA daggers. Dark, reddish-brown, fine-grained wooden grip is perfect with no cracks or chips, and is complete with gray metal grip eagle and SA insert properly inset. Polished blade grades EX++, showing minor surface wear/runner marks, some light gray shadowing/specks and one tiny nick to lower right cutting edge, but no pitting. Deeply etched motto retains 100% of the medium gray background frosting. Dent-free steel scabbard retains approximately 99% of its original chocolate brown enamel with only a few specks, but no lifting or crazing. Dent-free plated scabbard fittings show faint surface wear, and only minor lifting to lower ball. Complete with undamaged screws. Nice transitional SA dagger with double TM."
