A nice looking piece! This one was previously owned by Gailen L. David Military Antiques and comes with his Certificate of Authenticity. I will use his description: "DUAL MAKER MARKED FACTORY N SKK BY ANTON WIGEN. THIS DAGGER WAS PROBABLY NEVER ISSUED. THE CONDITION IS A STRONG EXC.++. MINTY BLADE IS MARKED M7/51 1939 AND HAS THE ANTON WINGER FIGURE. BLADE RETAIN S ALL OF ITS CROSS GRAINING. FACTORY BLACK PAINTED SCABBARD RETAIN S 99% OF FINISH WITH JUST SOME VERY LIGHT AGE SPIDERING. GRIP IS EXC.++ WITH NICKEL SILVER EAGLE. THE LIGHTEST OF SPECKELING TO FITTINGS BUT NO PLATING LOSE. HELL, THE SCABBARD ALONE ON THIS PIECE WOULD BRING $500 TO PUT ON AN SS ENLISTED DAGGER. THESE DUAL MARKED. PIECES ARE IN HIGH DEMAND."
There are four or five hair line cracks to the grip. The fittings look thin and may have been cleaned. Minor spidering to the scabbard body.
