A fine piece that is priced to sell! As far as the blade goes; the dark "RZM M7/52" (Herbertz & Meurer, Solingen-Grafrath) maker mark is beautifully executed and it continues to remain looking bright. It rates Exc. It has a loose fit, has been sharpened, has hits to the spine and there are scratches throughout. The original leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based, black enamel painted scabbard has a large pressure mark to the back and it retains 80%+ paint coverage. The scabbard leather is in wonderful condition! No crazing, damage or rips and the snap works well! The alloy based, nickel-silver plated hilt on this one looks fine. The plating is lost to time giving it that grey finish. The black checkered celluloid grip plates remain in near perfect condition! Nor cracks or chips. The later period HJ diamond looks great retaining 99% enamel! Overall it a fine piece to start your collection off and it won't break the bank!
