Here we have a presentation plate for the Royal Prussian (Westphalian) Rifle Battalion No. 7. The obverse depicts a brown deer skull and antlers which surround a black cross with rays coming out of it and hold a black Prussian royal crown to the top. This is all surrounded by a green inscription which reads: "Westfälisches Jäger-Bataillon Nr.7". The obverse design is recalling a vision in the life of St Hubert, the patron saint of hunters. The reverse shows two holes to the top edge of the rim which allow a wire to run through them for display purposes. It measures approximately 9 3/8 inches in diameter.
