Cased Canadian Special Service Medal

The round award is constructed out of a die struck, copper-zinc alloy base that has been chrome plated. The obverse depicts a maple leaf surrounded by a laurel leaf and berry wreath that is tied together at the bottom. The reverse depicts St Edward's Crown and Royal Cypher surrounded by "Special Service Spécial". Attached to the top is the correct black white and red ribbon. The pin works well. The award is housed in its original issue white cardboard case. The top reads: "Special Service Medal Medaille du Service Special". Beautiful!
