Here we have an Army driver's proficiency badge in gold! It is made of a die stamped, steal base that has been gold gilded and is mounted on a green wool and paper backing. The obverse depicts a steering wheel on a pebbled background which is surrounded by a leaf wreath and green wool. The obverse is secured to the wool with two prongs that are folded over around steel plate and a finishing paper backing is then applied. Nice gold remains! A great piece to add to any Heer collection!
