This is truly a beautiful quality example of a National War Flag with stunning unfaded colors! This piece is constructed of a cotton base with a printed white roundel, a black swastika, four white and black lines running to the edge of the roundel and an Iron Cross to the top right. To the hoist end of the flag has a stitched on white reinforcing edge that has a lanyard running through the length of it, for easy mounting and dismounting. I love it when the flags have this as it makes it that much easier to display. The white reinforcing edge has crisp black printed markings that read: "Kr.Fl. 100 X 170" (Kriegs (War) Flag & the size) along with the maker mark. There are also two separately applied reinforcing patches to the corners, where you can see the looped strings. The top and bottom have six reinforcing stitches. The fly end of the flag has been folded over and also has six reinforcing stitches. All of the stitching remains intact there are no holes, stains or age discoloration!
