My most favorite of all the non-German pre 1945 daggers. These guys were very nasty, trained by the SS they provided internal military police duties in Slovakia. They helped round up undesirables in Czech and Hungary. A very small group and numbers I think were around 3500 in total. These were the SS of the Czech Forces. This one is the best example I've owned. Blade is bright example with just some light gray but all the crossgain remains! the blade is numbered as most of these are. No sharpening, or repointing. The blade rates an conservative Exc+/Exc++. Scabbard's paint is 97% intact with some traces of crazing and a few chips from period wear. The finish is very good. The entire scabbard to include the fittings are dent free. The fittings show light period wear. Solid hardwood handle displays nice grain and most of the factory lacquer remains. No chips, no cracks just normal light marks from period wear. The handle fits the pommel and crossguard fine. The crossguard is stamped "HG" as it should. Cool eagle-head pommel design. The top spanner nut is unturned. Check this link out to learn more about the Hlinka
