An odd yet completely correct example. This one is for the experienced collector looking for another variation! The blade on this one rates an Exc+. The acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and "RZM M7/70" (David Malsch, Steinbach) maker mark quite unique. They are very lightly done in comparison to most. The crossgrain looks great against the light and the fit and tip are both perfect. The blade rates Exc+. It shows the common age grey and spotting throughout. The steel based, black enamel painted scabbard has 99% of its original paint still intact and it remains completely dent free! The steel based, nickel plated scabbard fittings look good. They retain 95%+ plating. When you compare the fittings and scabbard throat against another SA you will see how these look more big and bulky. The ball has a few bruises and all four screws remain intact. The crossguards are steel based. You will almost never see this! Another neat variation to this maker. The dark brown hardwood grip remains in excellent shape! No cracks chips or flakes! Check out the placement of the eagle very high. The nickel eagle is nicely detailed and fits perfectly in the grip! The SA roundel retains 99% of its enamel and also has a perfect fit! A neat piece, price right and just for the right guy!
