An early, more desirable, private purchase black wound badge by L/11! It is made die stamped, tombak base that has been black painted. The obverse of the oval badge depicts an embossed profile of a mobile swastika, above an M35 pattern helmet, which is again above two crossed broad swords. This then all lies on a pebbled field and is surrounded by a laurel leaf and acorn wreath, that is tied together at the bottom with a bow. The tombak pin, hinge and catch are all intact and in working condition. The hollow back is unmarked. The black paint is 90% intact. The badge measures 1.75 inches high by 1.5 inches wide. Overall it's an excellent piece!
