An excellent, Type-D pattern by G.H. Osang! The badge features a two-piece construction, consisting of a die struck, gold gilded, alloy based eagle and a blackened alloy wreath. The obverse depicts a diving Luftwaffe eagle, clutching a swastika within its talons, and is above by a blackened half laurel leaf half oak leaf wreath. The reverse of the badge correctly displays; the "G.H. Osang Dresden" maker mark behind the eagle. The reverse also shows the correct; brass rivets, stamped hinge, stamped (and hand finished) catch and round wire steel pin. The bright golden eagle provides wonderful detail and retains beautiful gilding which ends up contrasting the dark wreath quite wonderfully.
