Here we have a completely matching, 2nd pattern, textbook Eickhorn Army Dagger! The blade on this one looks good! The stamped "Original Eickhorn Solingen" maker mark is nicely executed. The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! The blade rates an Exc+. It has a matte finish to with heavy age grey throughout. It may have been cleaned. The original leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based, silver plated scabbard provides wonderful detail with the random pebbling throughout and hand enhanced oak leaf and acorn bands! It has one dent to the back towards the tip. The original throat retaining screw remains intact an unturned. The zinc based, heavily silver plated Eickhorn eagle crossguard provides beautiful crisp details throughout the eagle's head, wings, wreath, beak and chest. The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with proud oak leaves and acorns. The crossguard, scabbard, ferrule and pommel all match in color, plating, patina and wear. The silver plating throughout remains in superb condition! The warm orange, trylon grip on this one is excellent! There is one wee chip off to the side but no cracks, dirt or splits! What a great piece! Complete 2nd pattern. All yours for the taking!
