Here's a nice prize! A Heer 4 Year Long service award on a parade mount! This award is made of a die struck piece of steel that has been silver washed. The obverse depicts the standard closed winged Heer eagle, clutching a mobile swastika in its talons, below: "Treue Dienste in der Wehrmacht" (faithful service in the armed units). The reverse depicts a stylized ?4? encircled by a laurel leaf wreath that is tied together at the top and bottom. There is a pinned tombak Heer eagle, clutching a wreathed swastika within its talons just above the award. The award is fastened, by a ring, to a piece of steel which is covered by a blue ribbon and mothed green felt portion to the back. The silver wash is in beautiful condition and shines quite nicely in the light. The tombak pin, catch and hinge are all in well working condition! A wonderfully detailed example on a parade mount!
