Here we have an Early 1927 pattern SS/SA Political Cap Eagle! This eagle was used on both the SS and SA caps. It is made out of die stamped tombak that has been silver washed and the swastika painted black. The obverse shows the 1927 pattern SS/SA eagle with outstretched wings clutching a wreathed swastika within its talons. The reverse shows a hollow back. Both of the prongs remain intact. The head may be slightly bent, and could bend back. Some silver wash remains intact and the black paint appears to be fully intact. Beautiful detail throughout! An early piece, right for your collection!
