Here's a decent sword for your collection! The 25.5 inch blade rates Exc. There is age grey, surface scratches, areas of spotting and a few small nicks to the cutting edge. This is a machine made blade finished by the smith YAMADA, Toshichika. The tip looks good. The scabbard is black polished shark skin over wood, with gold plated brass fittings. Each fitting depicts cherry blossoms and leaves over a pebbled background. The scabbard body is in fairly good condition with some minor spots and scuffs throughout. The scabbard remains dent free and the button works as it should. The tsuba is a chemically blackened bronze oval with decorative lines surrounding the beautifully detailed seppa's. This one is missing two seppas and I have provided details pics with a ruler so you know what you need should you decide to replace them. The handle is a hand fitted wooden sleeve wrapped in unpolished black ray skin and wrapped again in a brown twisted silk tape. The two menki's depict three cherry blossoms on three disks each. Please note that in a few views there is a tassel on the sword. The knot is incorrect for the sword and is NOT included.
