A beautiful and rare piece! This one rates 9 out of 10 on McSaars SA rarity rating! The bright blade on this one looks beautiful! The crossgrain is stunning in the light and runs the full length of the blade! The dark, acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and ?Ehr. Reich Schweina? maker mark are both nicely executed and make for a wonderful contrast to the bright blade! The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! This blade rates a NM! It shows the common spotting throughout. The brown anodized scabbard body looks excellent. It has a nice and dark drown anodized finish to it and remains completely dent free! The solid nickel scabbard fittings and crossguards remain in super shape! They match in color, age and patina. The ball has some bruises yet retains its round shape. All four screws have been turned but remain intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked ?Mi" (Mitte). The light brown hardwood grip is beautiful! No cracks, chips or splits! It has the odd pressure mark but a soft and subtle finish! The grip / crossguard fits are near perfect! You can really see the quality put into these earlier examples! The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel. This one will surely not disappoint! A beautiful, rare and early SA Dagger!
