Here we have a Veterans (DRKB) Flag Bearers Gorget! It is made up of multiple die struck/stamped, brass, gold gilded and nickel components. The obverse depicts a centrally placed red, black and white enameled Veterans (DRKB) logo, which is surrounded by a wreath and four standart flags (two to either side), along with two decorative flower screws that hold the brass chain. This all then lies on a half-moon shaped nickel body, with an embossed edge. The long brass chain depicts alternating static swastikas and Iron crosses. The reverse shows well-worn black felt that covers the nuts and inserts. The one catch is stamped ?3?. Overall this piece is in great shape. It shows little wear, hits and scratches throughout. Overall it retains excellent gilding and the enamel work remains 98% intact! A great display item!
