About as good as it ever gets!! This thing is in minty condition. The very 1st indicator of wear I look for is the finish on the edges and tips of the black rays, and look at this one. The black is all intact! No chipping, no damage. I'm sitting here looking at it under a loop and I do not see any scratches to the enamel!! I think this is one of the best I've ever had. The silver background to the swas is very clean, so many offered today are nowhere near this. Multi-piece constructed and assembled with hollow rivets. Reverse of the pin is correctly marked "20". This is for the well known maker C.F. Zimmermann of Pforzheim. Both the hinge and the catch are correctly placed in recesses to the reverse plate. Weight is 44.8g. Included is a large format case in very nice simulated grain leatherette with a gold trim to the exterior sides toward the upper edge. Measures 110mm x 110mm x 27mm. Inside lid is white silk and the base is of black flocking all being nice and clean. The catch and pin for the case are the standard cylindrical type. For those of you who are students of these things, Indeed the die flaw in the 11 o'clock ray is apparent as is the die flaw in the "9". All in all a textbook example in outstanding condition! Yes you could find one cheaper but look at it again, do you really want to?
