BB-437 Army Belt and Buckle
The buckle is a later steel type that's painted green. It's got wear and some slight bends near the tab end with say 90%+ of the paint retained. The leather tab is marked "H. Aurich Dresden 1941". Belt  is a good quality example with just a bit of wear. The belt is marked and the green keeper exactly matches the buckle. The nice supple belt measures approx 95cm. Exc+/Exc++

BB-376 Assmann Luftwaffe Officers Brocade Belt & Buckle
Here's a fine example purchased from the Vet's family. The size 95 brocade is composed of intertwined metal and fabric with a red center band and two larger twin grey stripes. The reverse is lined with grey fabric and a leather size marked tab. There are two slides. The slides are also of the same aluminum brocade. The catch and oval buckle are textbook aluminum. The buckle is oval with a gilt eagle correctly riveted to the oval pebbled center. The reverse is Assmann marked. NM

BB-382 Coastal Artillery Belt &Buckle
Ok, This for you guys who like 'em straight from the Vet. This is a vigin set-up that's never had the buckle off the belt. 3 weeks ago this was in the Vet's family's possession. The buckle is the usual late period black painted Heer type adopted for use by the Navy Coastal Artillery. Standard issue, EM/NCO’s black leather construction waist belt is roughly, 1 3/4" wide and 33 " long, with a leather retaining tongue and steel buckle catch intact. The buckle catch has an impressed maker mark and date which I can't make out. The belt is in very good
condition with light chafe wear and age. I've not tried cleaning it.  Nice solid example, leather is still good and strong. Exc++
$180

RAD

BB-318 Tabbed RAD Buckle by Sohni Heuback?
Shows heavy wear. This buckle is maker marked and dated "1936". I tried to figure out the maker on this one without luck then asked a buddy of mine. Here what he suggested: "I thought perhaps it could be M4/86 who was Sohni Heubach and Cie, but they are from Oberstein. That's not too big a deal because I know some of the smaller buckle makers used other leather makers to make their tabs for them. So I thought I struck gold until I dug a little deeper. You see Sohni Heuback only got it's M4 license between Jan. '37 and Dec. '37. Your buckle is dated '36. But it's not the end of the world....could still be that maker. There is still a possibility that it's that maker - just that the buckle would have been made before it got it's RZM license. That is the only maker that I can see that has S.H. in its initials." Thanks Rob your knowledge of this stuff always amazes me! Exc+

BB-266 Cool Droop wing DLV with Tab and matching belt and a story!
Good heavy nickel buckle with a pebbled background. Light wear. Check out the tab. "R. Sieper & Sohn Lüdenscheid 1936". It's also what looks like a field strike "5.Baür." and something else I can't make out. The back of the tab is stamped "L.B.A.". This exactly matches the belt stamp, the 31" belt is also maker marked "Eugen Huber 1935 München". Now what gets real interesting is that the belt was issue stamped in 1936 to a Flyer's school! "FLIEUERSCHULE OLDENBURG 1936", (BTW that's how I know this is a DLV not Luftshutz). Lastly over the impressed stamp there is an ink stamp that I think is dated 1940. Perhaps this was reissued? Regardless, this is a very cool rig. The belt has been shortened some time in the past. I guess the guy who originally owned it lost a lot of weight? A nice early RLB set-up that tells a story!  Exc+
