M-1382 Early Sub Badge by Schwerin
Nice heavy,(24.9g) tombac example purchased from Jason Burmeister at the SOS 2 years ago. Look at the sparkle to the polished highlights!! Oh yea, good fire gilt to this one. Cut out swas. example. Correct block hinge and "C" style brass catch. Reverse of these Schwerin's are flat finish, this one shows honest wear. Likely the most desired of all the Sub Badges. 25g  Exc++/NM
$1395 Layaway(br)

M-1475 Sub Badge
Die struck zinc badge with the finish absorbed. Correct block hinge and catch with magnetic pin. That badge is from die #2, and so far found only in zinc (there is a close variant from a sister die that comes in tombak).  The possible makers are S&L, W&L or K&Q.  (Thanks Norm for that!) Exc+
$395

M-1374 Sub Badge
Good die struck gilded washed alloy badge with solid swas`s Correct block hinge and catch. The badge has good gilt finish that has aged and darkened with time. I would say retained finish is at least 75%. Exc+/Exc++

M-1538 High Seas Fleet by Schwerin

Wow, guy's look all day for HSF badges like this one!! It's got good finish to the entire surface! Look at the fire gilt. Textbook badge with correctly shaped pin, block hinge and flat wire catch. All non-magnetic tombac. Mint-
$975

M-1457 High Seas Fleet by Schwerin

The most desirable of all the HSF badge makers this one has got lots of honest wear. It looks to me like someone made a feeble attempt to denazify it but the swas. is still clearly visible. It's tombac based with some fire gilding remaining to the top of the badge. Textbook badge with correctly shaped pin, block hinge and flat wire catch. Exc

M-1324 High Seas Fleet by Baqueville

Good French made example that is completely textbook. It's got good finish to the ship and much of the wreath finish is absorbed. A similar example can be seen on pg 328 of Tucker's reference. This one matches the book to include color of finish, die flaws to the reverse and the pin/hinge/hook and catch set-up. Exc+

M-1462 Blockade Runner by Schwerin
Textbook Schwerin in tombac. The pin is nonmagnetic and perfectly fits into the tombak catch that is soldered into the reverse. The block hinge is correct. This is 100% right. Exc+

M-1118 Blockade Runner by A.G.M.u.K.4
Here's a tough one to find. Found at the bottom of a box of badges obtained from a Canadian Veterans daughter. This one is zinc based with some loss of finish to the obverse. The ball hinge is textbook and has been correctly factory soldered into a die forged recess in the back of the badge. The pin is magnetic and perfectly fits into the tombak catch this is crimped into a recess in the reverse. The lower ship windows are the correct shape and the letters to the reverse are raised with the correct die flaws. This is 100% right. Exc

The pin is magnetic and perfectly fits into the tombac catch this is crimped into a recess in the reverse. The ball hinge is textbook, see Tucker's reference Vol 1 pg 398 The lower ship windows are the correct shape and the letters to the reverse are raised with the correct die flaws. M-1467 1st Pattern S-Boat by Baqueville
Baqueville located in Paris but a nice job on these Navy badges. Very unique and tough to copy. Nice finish remaining especially to the boat. The reverse is correct in every aspect. The upper hook is intact and the hinge is the exact one we see in Tuckers reference. Exc++
$650

M-853 Unmarked Auxiliary Cruiser (Foerster & Barth)
Desirable tombac construction this is a 2 piece badge with single rivet construction. The hinge is a sheet metal variant and the way the pin is bent over has lead many to agree this variant is made by F&B. Nice finish I would say 99% to the gold wash.  Weighs in at 26.55gr. Exc++
$815

M-850 Auxiliary Cruiser by Baqueville
Desirable variant of a tough badge to find! Baqueville located in Paris but a nice job on these Navy badges. Very unique and tough to copy. Look at the finish that remains to this one! This is the best Baqueville Auxiliary Cruiser I've come across! The reverse is correct in every aspect. The upper hook is intact and the hinge is the exact one we see in Tuckers reference, pg387, except, well, this is in better shape than his!!☺ Weighs in at 26.95gr. Exc++

M-1298 Minesweeper by Robert Souval in issue envelope

Good quality zinc badge with about 50% of finish retained. This is a maker marked (R.S.) that's got honest wear to the high areas. There's still blue finish retained to the water! Tomback pin and catch with a sheet metal hinge. Printed packet with maker mark to reverse. Exc++
$295

M-1470 Minesweeper

Here's one with good finish for a zinc badge. This is an unmarked example with a tombac hinge/pin and catch. It's got honest wear to the high areas, I say that and there's good finish to the plume and the water. Looks to have been vaulted along the way. Exc+
